Would It Help If You Understood The Causes of Anxiety and Got A Natural Solution That Works For Good Measure?
Individuals who recover the quickest from the scourge of panic attacks are usually the ones who understand the basis of the causes of anxiety. Why...because you learn to take control a lot more easily.
There is no doubt that panic attacks are caused by anxiety. So, what causes anxiety then?
Most people will experience anxiety at some stage in their lives but a lot of it is temporary. For instance, it is perfectly normal to be anxious when you have examinations approaching or you have an upcoming job interview.
Such an anxious state will come to pass.
However a heightened state of anxiety that leads to symptoms like dizziness, dry mouth, difficulty in breathing, pounding heart, fast beating heart, tingling feelings, numbness of extremities represent an acute panic attack and can be quite frightening.
You feel you are losing control and in fact you may think you are having a heart attack. You probably know someone who has been rushed to ER for this problem only to be reassured it’s not a heart attack.
Although an anxiety panic attack is usually terrifying, be rest assured that it is not life threatening, according to research.
Essentially your brain is responsible for how your body responds to perceived or real danger. This is natural.
Your brain prepares you for a flight or fight response to this danger by a trigger mechanism that releases a huge amount of a hormone called adrenaline from your adrenal glands.
This hormone prepares you to either poise for a fight to defend yourself or flee from the situation if you are not up for a fight. This is a protective mechanism which ironically causes problems with the wrong amount of exposure.
Anxiety is therefore caused by this natural response to a perceived or real threat.
So, How Does This Cause Anxiety and Panic Attacks?
There are two body systems that are supposed to work co-operatively to maintain a balanced mental health in terms of anxiety. They are the sympathetic and para-sympathetic systems.
The sympathetic system is responsible for the release of adrenaline which causes the signs of anxiety and panic attacks. This is supposed to be corrected by the para-sympathetic to calm us down after the initial event and the adrenaline levels plummet back to normal.
However in people who suffer from anxiety panic disorders, the reset button in the brain that is supposed to regulate this sympathetic and para-sympathetic control mal-functions.
This loss of brain self-regulation tends to occur following a period of severe or prolonged stress, sadness, bereavement, anger etc.
The net result is that your body ends up with fairly abnormal high levels of adrenaline and some other body chemicals circulating all the time.
Consequently, you are on edge all the time and prone to having a panic attack within a moment’s notice made worse by the constant fear of having another attack....and another.
So, this is how anxiety and panic attacks come about.
Now that you understand what causes anxiety, would you like to know a reliable solution especially if it is natural and does not involve using medications?
The solution actually lies with restoring this regulatory control and getting rid of the fear of having another attack....and it’s not complicated at all.
In fact, it’s easier than you think.
